| | The day has finally come. I have found the woman that I want to spend the rest of my life with. Daisy and I got engaged around 10 PM on November 23. We both knew it was coming (since I took Daisy to pick some rings that she liked). I had went out and bought the ring about two weeks before I was going to propose. I was originally thinking I would do it when she came out in December, but I couldn't wait that long. I put it in my carry-on and took it with me to Amarillo, TX. From there Daisy and I drove to Pampa, TX to pick up her Grandma and then drove to her brother's house in Dodge City, KS. After we got there I met all her family at once. We had a nice Thanksgiving dinner, and I got to know her family. The next day most of the family got up to go shopping very early in the morning. I decided it was the perfect time to ask her dad for permission to marry her. I got the ok, but I didn't have the chance to do anything until that night. Daisy and I were alone playing a game. When I could no longer hold it in I got down beside her. We both knew what was happening. I did the best I could to get on my somewhat good knee and told her how special she was to me. She said yes and we had our first kiss. I know it wasn't very fancy, but both of us were so happy to finally be engaged. We have already talked about a June wedding down in Texas, but I guess that information will come a little bit later. |
